Cartlynq legal

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Cartlynq collects and processes information when businesses use the Service, including the website, web app, mobile experience, and related support tools.

1. Who we are

Cartlynq is a SaaS platform that helps vendors organize orders, payments, delivery workflows, customer records, invoices, receipts, and storefronts. In this policy, "Cartlynq", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the operator of the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of a business, that business is the controller of the customer data you enter into the workspace. Cartlynq acts as a service provider or processor for that workspace data.

2. Information we collect

  • Account details such as your name, email address, phone number, password hash, and authentication metadata.
  • Business profile details such as business name, address, industry, support contacts, logos, brand settings, and storefront details.
  • Order and customer data such as customer names, phone numbers, WhatsApp numbers, delivery addresses, item details, payment status, delivery status, notes, receipts, and invoices.
  • Usage and device data such as browser type, device identifiers, IP address, page activity, crash data, and diagnostic logs.
  • Support and communications data such as messages sent through support forms, email, and service notifications.
  • Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure usage.

3. Information you choose to store

The Service is built for vendors to store operational information about their own customers. You should only enter data that you are allowed to process and share with us. Do not store bank passwords, card numbers, government identity numbers, or other highly sensitive information in notes or free-text fields unless a law or contract clearly allows it.

Cartlynq does not read your WhatsApp inbox or message history. The Service only processes the information you manually enter or connect through supported workflows.

4. How we use information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Create and manage workspaces, orders, invoices, receipts, and storefronts.
  • Authenticate users, prevent unauthorized access, and secure accounts.
  • Send verification, transactional, service, and support emails or messages.
  • Monitor performance, fix bugs, improve features, and analyze usage trends.
  • Detect fraud, abuse, and suspicious activity.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

5. Legal bases for processing

Depending on where you operate, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and compliance with legal obligations.

6. How we share information

  • With workspace members who are authorized to access the shared business data in the workspace.
  • With service providers that help us run the Service, such as hosting, authentication, email delivery, analytics, payment, and storage providers.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or similar business transaction.
  • When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of Cartlynq, our users, or the public.

We do not sell personal information.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, including HTTPS, authentication controls, role scoping, access restrictions, audit trails, backups, and secure hosting infrastructure.

No system is perfectly secure. If you suspect unauthorized access or a security incident, contact us immediately using the details below.

8. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Workspace owners can delete many records from inside the app.

When a workspace is closed, some information may remain in backups or logs for a limited period before being overwritten or deleted according to our retention practices.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing activities.

You can also opt out of non-essential marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link where available.

10. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the country in which you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross border transfers.

11. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify workspace owners by email, in-app message, or other reasonable means.

13. Contact us

If you have questions, requests, or complaints about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, contact us at support@cartlynq.com.
